Jiri Turek
was born in Prague, Czech Republic, in 1990 started his professional carrier as a press photographer in one of the largest European newspaper MFDaily. He accompanied the president of Czech Republic Vaclav Havel throughout the world, reported events from the war zone in Bosnia and Croatia, his photos were coming from Georgia and formal USSR.
Later on he was focusing more on the portrait and fashion photography. His brilliant portrait photography was recognized when he was accredited by MFD to the OSCAR Film Festival in Los Angeles, film festivals in Cannes, Formula 1 races and many more special events.
Since 1998 he works independently. His portrait photography is seeked by celebrities and public figures. He photographed Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Luciano Pavaroti, Lou Reed, Sting and many more. He was granted contracts by ELLE Magazine, PREMIERE Magazine, Maxim Magazine and others to produce the fashion editorials, magazine covers and interview portraits. EMI, Sony Music and Universal Music company use his work for CD cover's.
In the mean time he is concidered to be one of the best and most talented czech commercial and fashion photographers around.His work is set by the top advertising companies and fashion magazines.
 
 
His artistic ambitions and his personal works which carry a unique artistic feel are the soul of his professional signiture works. In the year of 2006 the prestige Leica Gallery in New York exhibited his personal works, which consisted of photos that captured the feeling and the atmosphere of New York city, where he has lived until the year 2006 for the past four years.
